Frequently asked questions
- How much CBD should I give my dog or cat?
A common starting guide is 0.25 mg CBD per pound of body weight, once or twice daily. For a 40-lb dog, that's roughly 10 mg β about 1.2 mL from this bottle. Always start lower and build up, and consult a veterinarian before starting any supplement. - Is this the same as human CBD oil?
Chemically similar, but formulated at a lower CBD concentration (250 mg vs. 1000 mg in our human tincture). The lower concentration makes it easier to dose small animals without over-delivering. - Can I put this on food?
Yes. Mix it with wet food or a small fatty treat. Most pets won't notice the mild hemp taste. If your pet refuses, try the direct-to-mouth method first. - Is it safe for cats?
Generally yes, though cats metabolize cannabinoids slightly differently than dogs. Start at the low end of the dose range (0.1β0.15 mg per pound) and watch for sedation or appetite changes. Always consult your vet. - What conditions is this for?
We don't make medical claims for pet CBD. Owners use CBD oil in support of general wellness routines; specific medical applications should go through a veterinarian.
