Former Insys Executives indicted

Former Insys Executives indicted for Racketeering.

The Department of Justice arrested 6 Insys Therapeutics Inc., executives for ‘crimes again humanity’ on a national scale of mass corruption by bribing doctors and trying to prescribe to non-cancer patiences. The DOJ states that: “nationwide conspiracy to profit by using bribes and fraud to cause the illegal distribution of a Fentanyl spray intended for cancer patients experiencing breakthrough pain”.

If you haven’t realize it yet, we are in the midst of an epidemic

“In the midst of a nationwide opioid epidemic that has reached crisis proportions, Mr. Kapoor and his company stand accused of bribing doctors to overprescribe a potent opioid and committing fraud on insurance companies solely for profit,” said Acting United States Attorney William D. Weinreb.

At least we had the “Anti-Kickback Statute”…

The federal AntiKickback Statute (“AntiKickback Statute”) is a criminal statute that prohibits the exchange (or offer to exchange), of anything of value, in an effort to induce (or reward) the referral of federal health care program business. See 42 U.S.C. § 1320a-7b.

Did Trump have an impact on this?

“The allegations of selling a highly addictive opioid cancer pain drug to patients who did not have cancer, make them no better than street-level drug dealers. Today’s charges mark an important step in holding pharmaceutical executives responsible for their part in the opioid crisis.   The FBI will vigorously investigate corrupt organizations with business practices that promote fraud with a total disregard for patient safety.” – Harold H. Shaw, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Field Division.

Conclusion

This marks history for the fight again the opioid epidemic! I feel strongly that we must all come together to help fight this epidemic. It is so important that we decide which medications are best for our bodies, and which ones are killing others. The pharmaceutical industry leaders are the biggest drug dealers in the world, and they can be stopped! This is proof of the stopping power that the DOJ has slammed upon these monsters that killed over 20,000 people with their “Breakthrough pain relief”. There will be more arrests and more people disgracefully profiteering off death.
